A LOT of people who attended Catshill village hall on September 17 must wish to thank the organisers for a wonderful happy day.
There were all-day displays, photos, posters, vehicles, re-enactment groups, lot of people were in uniforms or dressed to suit wartime, and there was even an unexploded bomb!
It culminated in a Tea Dance with an excellent big band playing all the old favourites, dancing demos of jitterbug/ modern jive, fish and chips, and a commemorative mug as we left. All free!
All this thanks to lottery funding I believe.
So many people loved spending time looking through old photos and souvenirs, writing their memories and it was the best day out for ages. So thank you very much to a lot of unknown people who worked really hard to make it a big success.
