Evesham 7pts, Kings Norton 3
EVESHAM returned to league action last Saturday when they earned a hard-earned first league victory.
With a much-changed side from recent weeks, the home side started positively and spent much of the half deep in the Kings Norton half.
Joe Worth and Ali Black were having strong games in the line-out from where scrum-half Chris Evis enjoyed an ample supply of ball.
Throughout the half, both sides tested each other and both went close but it was Evesham who drew first blood.
A brilliant darting break from centre Jim Bowen resulted in fly-half Mo Parkinson crashing over the line for an excellent try. Adam Huttlestone converted.
Evesham went close again thr-ough Evis and Jamie Cameron but the visiting defence held firm as did the home side's as they restricted Kings to a solitary penalty.
The second half was frenetic affair with both sides throwing everything into attack.
Again Evesham went close on many occasions but couldn't get the crucial second score.
The visitors were camped in the Evesham half for long periods but they were unable to get back into the game as Evesham held out for a well-deserved victory.
The match ball was sponsored by Buzz Electrics.
There's North Midlands South One league action again on Saturday at Tenbury.
