DEFENDING champions Nomads travelled to play Formula One last weekend in the Tewkesbury Trophies Pool League looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season.
In an entertaining encounter, an unbeaten performance from Josh Craze proved the difference between the teams as the Nomads took the match 8-7.
Elsewhere, Alpina Bush Cutters recovered from a slow start to win 11-4 against the Tudor Dynamos, who had taken the first three frames.
However, the Bush Cutters stormed back to claim ten of the remaining 11 with Gary Francis winning three out of three.
Lost the Pot recorded a 9-6 victory over newcomers Northway. Matt Burton, Steve Cowdrey and Paul Smith all 7-balling their opponents while three out of three from Mark Albutt earned maximum leg points.
Another new team, The Boyz romped to a 12-3 win against Too Pot with an excellent performance capped by Sonny Dosanjh's three wins.
However, the result didn't tell the full story of the match as Too Pot missed the black in nine of the 15 frames!
In an evenly matched encounter, Renegades came out on top against a depleted Cowboys team 9-6. Alec Lawson remained unbeaten for the winners.
