SUCCESSFUL youth team boss Roy Rencher has been handed the task of reviving Stourport Swifts' season.
Rencher has been a revelation at Sutton Coldfield, leading the U18s to the Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division title last season.
Swifts' chairman Chris Reynolds was so impressed after interviewing the candidate following Dave Titterton's resignation that he quickly offered the job.
Rencher will take charge of Swifts after tonight's Southern League Division One West home game against his former club Sutton Coldfield (7.45).
He has also claimed Worcestershire FA and Birmingham FA trophies in the past and is determined to make the breakthrough into senior football.
Reynolds said: "Roy was impressive in the interview and is a very good appointment for Stourport. He's so keen to do this and has good contacts in the pro game.
"This is the way we want to play it in the future -- with young players, not with ex-pros who want the earth."
