HEREFORD United strive to preserve their 100 per cent league record against Aldershot Town at the Recreation Ground tonight (7.45).
Since the Shots gained promotion to the Conference two summers ago, they have found it impossible picking up a single point against Graham Turner's men.
United have triumphed in all four previous encounters, although Shots tasted success in the 2003/04 play-off semi-finals.
In the last Hampshire meeting in January, Danny Carey-Bertram and old boy David Brown hit goals in a 2-0 victory.
All eyes will be on Carey-Bertram to deliver again as Hereford's only fully-fit out-and-out striker.
Guy Ipoua is sidelined after aggravating a hamstring injury during the dismal 2-1 defeat to Halifax Town on Saturday.
The former Gillingham forward was thrown into the attack at The Shay after passing a fitness test, but he pulled up just 17 minutes into his comeback.
Adam Stansfield is at least two weeks away recovering from a groin injury and summer signing Graham Evans is still to convince at this level.
Goals are becoming a problem for Hereford, with only 11 strikes in 10 games, equalling their worst start to a Conference season. After slumping in Yorkshire three days ago, United will be desperate to get their season back off the ground.
Despite triumphing 2-1 against York on Saturday, Aldershot surprised many by making a poor start to the campaign, losing six from 10 games.
But United coach John Trewick sounded caution ahead of the clash.
"Aldershot have got some very good players," he said. "Although they have not quite found their best form, we must not underestimate them."
