BROMSGROVE Rovers' next FA Cup encounter cannot come quick enough after an excellent second qualifying round win against Hinckley United.

Rovers' reward for their 3-1 success is a trip to local rivals Halesowen Town on Saturday week, a match likely to feature ex-Victoria Ground favourites Steve Pope and Chris Smith.

Assistant manager Bernard Mackie said: "It's a great draw for us and after beating Hinckley, I think the lads will be up for it."

Two strikes from Mark Danks and one from Wayne Dyer saw Rovers come back from a goal down to beat their Nationwide North opponents.

Mackie added: "It was fantastic because we lost a goal after 30 seconds and the lads just stuck in and we got the goals we deserved in the second-half."

Rovers look to stretch their unbeaten run to five games with a home Southern League Division One West match against Bedworth tonight (7.45).

Defender Matt Johnson is back following suspension, but striker Leon Mitchell has been released.
