CAPTAIN Pat Sanderson will celebrate Worcester Warriors' Premiership survival by skippering England in a big match later this month.
Sanderson is to lead his country against the Barbarians at Twickenham on Saturday, May 28, in a 29-man squad mostly made up of players selected for the tour to Canada.
New Warriors signing Andy Gomarsall, captured from Gloucester, will be the vice-captain, while Jonny Wilkinson is also selected.
England assistant coach Joe Lydon said: "Pat has shown excellent leadership skills with his club."
