WORCESTER will give Tim Collier every chance to make their trip to Kingsholm.

The lock, who has played every Premiership game for Worcester this season, is facing a race against time to make Saturday's clash at Gloucester.

Collier has a torn pectoral muscle but the Sixways club are desperate to include the former London Welsh man after his outstanding contribution in their maiden top flight campaign.

"We'll leave it until the very last minute with Tim," said John Brain, Worcester's director of rugby.

"He's improving but we've got to make sure that the injury has healed because the danger is that he aggravates it further.

"We will fitness test him on Friday to see if he can be included. It would be a blow if he's ruled out because, certainly, he is part of our strongest pack.

"However, it would be a blow if we play him for 20 minutes against Gloucester on Saturday and then he is ruled out of the Leeds game at Sixways a week later."

Worcester have made no secret of the fact that they are now targeting their remaining home games as they bid for Premiership survival.

However, Brain rejects that they are putting all their eggs in one basket as they approach one of the games of the season for the Warriors faithful.

"We know that if we play well, we can beat just about any side in the Premiership, home or away," added Brain. "We also realise that there are must win games and we have to be realistic."

Brain, who is synonymous with Gloucester after spending most of his playing career at Kingsholm, freely admits Worcester will go into the game as underdogs.

"I think they will be confident of dispatching newly-promoted Worcester at home. Gloucester are very strong at home," said Brain.

A youthful Worcester 'A' side went down 46-3 to Northampton at Sixways last night. Alex White scored the only points for the Warriors.
