LEICESTER prop Colin Noon, who had a six-week trial with Worcester Warriors at the start of the season, has been banned for six months after he was found guilty of deliberately stamping on an opposition player's head.
Noon, 29, was on loan to Rotherham when the incident happened in a National League One game between the Yorkshire club and Pertemps Bees last month. He stamped on Bees' prop Matt Long, but denied the offence.
Noon, a former front-row forward with Welsh clubs Bridgend and Aberavon, is now suspended until May 5 next year. He has 14 days to decide on a possible appeal.
"This is completely unacceptable behaviour in our game," said RFU disciplinary officer Jeff Blackett.
