VIKRAM Solanki is pleased with his Worcestershire form following his return from an under-performed stint with the England one-day squad.

And the County captain will be keen to upset Northamptonshire again when the two sides meet in today's floodlit totesport League clash at New Road (4.10pm).

"I've been happy with the way I've played," admits Solanki. "Hopefully, I've got a couple more big scores coming my way. It's all well and good feeling and looking in good touch, but you need to keep producing."

Solanki blasted 119 against Northants in the season's opening Division One fixture, which the Royals won by 31 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method. But Worcestershire have claimed just two wins since that triumph and are desperate for points to stave off a potential relegation fight.

However, they are unbeaten in their previous two one-day games and a third will give the County a slight cushion over their rivals.

It is the beginning of a big week against Northants, as the two sides lock horns on Thursday in the County Championship, and Solanki is aiming to treat New Road supporters.

He added: "We have a good following in one-day cricket, but the spectacle of the floodlit game brings the crowd out even more. From now until the end of the season, they are all important games and we'll go about them in the best mode to try and get results."

Tickets from Saturday's wash-out against Australia can be used for tonight's match.

Squad: Solanki, Moore, Hick, de Bruyn, Smith, Leatherdale, Batty, Kabir, Pipe, Price, Shoaib, Malik.
