JASON Robinson has backed Worcester's survival bid after ripping them apart on Friday night.
The England star was in unstoppable mood at Edgeley Park against Worcester as his Sale side outclassed the Sixways men 57-3.
However, 'Billy Whizz' believes the Warriors can yet beat the drop despite Worcester languishing bottom of the Premiership table following four straight defeats.
"They actually caused us a few problems early on in the match," he said.
"After that, however, we kicked on and managed to keep them out. If you look at the previous games, before they arrived at Sale, they certainly ran Saracens and Bath close.
"So, there's certainly something there. They'll be disappointed with their performance against us but the Premiership is new to them and I'm sure they will catch some sides out.
"It was a good, professional performance from Sale against Worcester but they started very well against us and I think there is more to come from them."
Worcester's director of rugby John Brain, meanwhile, admits that the Premiership new boys will now have to target their games, starting with Saturday's basement battle with Harlequins at Sixways.
"It's pretty obvious now that there are teams around us that we have to pick up points against," he said.
"Leeds won yesterday but they are still around us along with Harlequins and London Irish.
"Those games will be important for us this season and if we can pick up points in those matches, it gives us a good chance.
"We were well beaten on Friday night but we have moved on and we are now focused on our match with Quins. There will be no panic here at Worcester.
"We are looking at strengthening the wing area because we've had a long-term injury with Jon Hylton but, other than that, there will be no knee-jerk reaction."
Worcester's fringe talent have a chance to stake their claim for a first team spot tonight when the 'A' team take on Leeds at Sixways (7.30pm).
Full back Duncan Roke starts while Dale Rasmussen, Matt Powell and Andre Van Niekerk will also be looking to impress Brain.
