WORCESTER Warriors' opening Premiership clash with Newcastle Falcons has been put back 24 hours.
Worcester were due to play Rob Andrew's men on Saturday, September 4 but, because BskyB have decided to show the game live on Sky Sports, the match will now be played a day later with a 3.30pm kick-off.
The day promises to be a massive occasion for Worcester with a new East Stand in place and a North Stand terrace set to be unveiled in front of a capacity 8,000 plus crowd. The game has proved a real turn-on for television bosses not only because of Worcester's first taste of Premiership rugby but also because of Jonny Wilkinson's likely return to action.
The game should also see Matt Burke in a Newcastle jersey after turning down Worcester in the summer. New signing Ben Gollings could also face his former side after swapping Newcastle for Sixways.
