HIGHWAY safety improvements suggested for Upton are being reconsidered.
At a town council meeting on Tuesday, members were told Worcestershire County Council contractors Halcrow had gone back to the drawing board.
Proposals rejected by councillors and residents earlier this year included plans for traffic lights in Old Street.
The town council will write to the Highways Partnership asking to be involved in revising the plans.
Alcohol-free zones in the town centre were also raised at the meeting.
Mayor John Thompson was worried the zones were not wanted in Upton, but would be introduced by the district council without consulting town councillors.
The reinstatement of land after the new Upton viaduct was built was discussed.
After some delay, the county council has agreed to pay for a surveyor to check the land was reinstated correctly and to fund trees being replanted.
After clerk Gill Jennings spoke of problems arranging street light maintenance with the authority, county councillor Bob Bullock agreed to investigate.
Members also heard the boiler in Upton Memorial Hall had been condemned and a replacement and new pipework could cost up to £10,000. The issue was delegated to the hall and finance ommitctee.
