THOSE people losing their jobs at Kays, Worcester Royal Porcelain, Cosworth, Carmichael and the other companies which have relocated or closed should look on the bright side.
Some could get jobs as lookouts on Whittington tump, employed to see if these high-tech jobs which we are promised every time the council wants to rush through planning are on the way.
They can all console themselves with the fact they won't have to pay the high prices for the inner city apartments that will be built on the sites.
Now of course, the consultants being bought in to sort out and invariably shut down front line medical services at the overspent Royal will help make Worcester a great place to live if you are part of the commuting middle class. It's not so good if you are ordinary working class.
M SWIERS,
Worcester.
