BOWLERS at Malvern Hills Indoor Bowling Club will be able to take advantage of a newly-installed system of viewing directly over the head from the mat end.
The Manor Park-based club is thought to be the only one in the country that can boast the screens as a permanent feature.
The club now eagerly awaits the opening of the new winter season where roll-ups will commence on Monday (September 26) and leagues from next Saturday (October 1).
The first winter bowlers to experience this innovation will be the members of the newly organised Inter-Club League for outdoor clubs, who will be playing for a prize fund of £1,800.
With two Liberty matches before Christmas and numerous national and club events, in addition to the bread and butter league games, quite a cross section of the bowling fraternity will have shortly experienced this new insight.
The club welcomes visitors/general public to come and watch, free of charge at any time, any day of the week till the first week in April.
