BROMYARD'S biggest employer has won an award from the famous sports-car maker Lotus.
Polytec Holden supplies components for the Norwich-based firm and was this week named Lotus supplier of the year.
Employing some 280 workers, the firm makes spoilers, bumpers and other parts for some of the biggest names in the car industry.
The spoiler for the Lotus Exige won it the latest award.
"It's a tough business and you have to stay ahead of the game," said managing director Geoff McGladdery. "You're constantly measured on factors such as quality and speed of delivery and you can't let up."
Lotus executives will visit Polytec Holden's plant on the Port House Industrial Estate this morning (Friday) bringing with them an Exige and an Elise. MP Bill Wiggins will be on hand for presentations.
The award is the second the firm had received this year, following one from Honda for exceptional business support.
