KIDDERMINSTER will go snooker-loopy when one of the sport's most exciting tournaments returns to the Glades Arena in November.

Some of the game's biggest names, including world number one, Ronnie O'Sullivan, and six-times world champion, Steve Davis, will take to the table in the town on Thursday, November 17.

It is the second time the Glades has hosted Betfred.com Premier League Snooker, in association with the Shuttle/Times and News.

The venue won praise from organisers in February after successfully staging a round of the competition broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Cues and queues are set to be the order of the day with the Glades box office bracing itself for another sell-out night.

O'Sullivan will take on Asia's hottest talent, Ding Jun-hui, while the night's other match pits Steve Davis against Scottish star, Stephen Maguire.

O'Sullivan is favourite to retain his Betfred crown, having clinched the Premier League title and a cheque for £50,000 with a whitewash 6-0 victory over Mark Williams in last season's final.

A total of seven of the sports biggest stars are taking part.

Alongside the four coming to Kidderminster are current and former world champions in the form of Shaun Murphy and Steve Hendry and fans' favourite, Jimmy White, who changed his name to James Brown for a HP Sauce publicity stunt when he played in Kidderminster in February.

Exciting action is guaranteed because players will incur penalties if they don't play their shots in the unique 25-second time limit.

The winner of the league will receive £50,000 from a prize fund of £250,000 with £1,000 awarded for every frame of the competition.

The tournament will also call in at Plymouth, Doncaster, Basingstoke, Aberdeen, Derby, Croydon, Manchester, Grimsby, Irvine and Cardiff on its nationwide tour.
