A TEAM of Wyre Forest Cycle Racing Club riders competed in the Duo Normande two-up team time trial at Marigny, France.
In temperatures of around 30 degrees, Paul Prince and Chris Morris finished the 35-mile course in one hour 22 minutes 58seconds for eighth position in their category.
Gary Bartram teamed up with Ruth Eyles, the new BAR national champion from Beacon RCC, to record 1-30-37.
Kris Doms and Karl Davies clocked 1-37-58 after Davies crashed at a traffic island and had to change wheels, battling on despite the cuts and bruises.
The tandem pairing of Alan Griffiths and Sue Middup-Jones finished in 1-53-18. The overall race was won by French Cofidis professionals Sylvian Chavanel and Thierry Marichel in 1-8-22.
Andy Convery set a new pb in the Leamington C and AC 10-mile time trial, in 22 minutes 40 seconds, while Mick Gray rode to his best time in three years when he recorded 26-43.
John Callaghan and Doms rode the League of Veterans racing cyclists' Hardly Athletic road race on Sunday with Doms finishing 10th overall and Callaghan finishing safely in the bunch.
The final points standings after the season-long club competition were: Scratch competition - John Parker 177, Dave Wood 167, Doms 136; Handicap competition - Parker 125, Brian Clarke 115, Convery 98; Veterans on standard competition - Wood and Clarke 128, Dome 110.
