I AM writing to inquire why there has been an almost complete withdrawal of Kidderminster's Number 2 bus service to Comberton.
It has now been turned into a one-way service, which means that those of us who have no alternatives available have to make a longer, and no doubt ultimately, a costlier journey.
The service is now all but useless to the residents of this area.
We, as well as Offmore and Spennells estates, have only one drop-off point in the town, in a location that no longer has a supermarket, meaning we all have to make a journey across the town to buy groceries.
So an expensive, newly-built bus station located centrally to all amenities is now not used by this service.
Tesco's supermarket is also now unreachable most days, as once our shopping is completed our only pick-up points are again located on the opposite sides of the town.
This has happened without any consultation, no explanation and no information.
The government of the day are encouraging more of us to make use of public transport.
First Bus appears to be actively encouraging the public to use buses less.
Free travel passes for OAPs is a brilliant idea, but completely useless if there is no public transport to travel on.
