CHADDESLEY Corbett got their home campaign off to a winning start with a 4-1 Division Two victory over Bromyard Town Reserves.

It was their third successive league win.

Tony Vale opened the scoring with a snap shot from the edge of the box but battling Bromyard equalised through Colin Rudge.

Straight after the break, James Dale's deflected shot restored Chaddesley's lead.

Mark McKinstry and Marvin Whitter scored the other two Corbett goals with Chris Griffin named as man-of-the-match.

Griffin said: "Due credit to Bromyard they played with a lot of spirit and seemed well organised.

"Last season we would have struggled to break sides like them down.

"Once we got our act together we looked like a good side".

On Saturday, Chadd-esley entertain Worcester League outfit Hallow in a Worcestershire County Cup match.

Players are asked to be at Longmore for 1pm.
