THE next show at Chipping Norton's Theatre could be a real stinker - but in the best sense of the word, as Britain's leading cheese expert takes to the stage.
Juliet Harbutt is presenting An Evening of Cheese on Wednesday where she will be singing the praises of her favourite nibble.
Juliet founded Jeroboams, The Wine and Cheese Shop and over a 20-year career, she says she has 'reared thousands of cheeses, educated and inspired hundreds of friends and food lovers and eaten more cheese than she dares to remember.'
She is dedicated to spreading the word about the magic of cheese and is surprised there are few cheese speakers compared to the numbers who discuss wines.
She said: "The story of cheese aches to be told: how wild moulds and yeast use the rind of cheese like a blank canvas on which to work their colourful magic and that there are over 400 different varieties made in Britain alone."
Tickets are £10 (£8 concessions). Box office: 01608 642350.
