MOIRA Brown presented "Swings and Roundabouts" featuring music by Franz Schubert.
A short excerpt from Mozart's Jupiter Symphony opened the programme, then the rest of the programme was devoted to Herr Schubert, largely comprising second movements of works, which best illustrate the many "swings" in his music, often changing keys.
Members heard the Bekova Sisters in the Piano Trio in E flat, Wilhelm Kempf in the Piano Sonata in A major, and the Melos Quartet in the String Quartet in G Manor.
Mrs Brown also chose the last song in the Wintereisse cycle - Hurdy-gurdy man, sung by Matthias Goerne, accompanied by Graham Johnson.
String Quartet in C major, featured the Melos Quartet and Rostropovich, and The Great symphony extract was by Sinfonia Vasovia, conducted by Yehudi Menuhin.
Fantasia in F Minor, thought by society president Beryl Chempin to be the greatest piano duet of all, ended the programme.
Pianist Christopher Langdown is at Kidderminster Library tomorrow at 7.30pm.
