The September meeting was a garden swap shop. Members who had spare plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables took them along for those without. The competition of the month was five tomatoes won by Mrs Eunice Russell. Members enjoyed refreshments provided by Mrs Sloggett and Mrs Ruth Darbon.
About 45 members attended and all agreed it had been an enjoyable experience and one they would definitely repeat. Speaker next month is Mr R Turner on My Garden and the competition will be an arrangement in a teacup, October 12, 7pm. The next committee meeting will be on Monday, September 26 at 7pm in the Baptist Hall.
