A BROADWAY man who has been running a one-man litter campaign since the summer wants others to join him.
Neil Johnson Hilton started his clean up when he was out walking near Broadway Tower and was horrified at the amount of rubbish strewn on the paths.
Now whenever he goes walking on his days off from the Factory China Shop in the village he takes an extra carrier bag to collect rubbish, and his campaign has now been extended to the village streets.
He said: "When I first came to look at Broadway 10 years ago I found the beauty of the village breathtaking and can understand why people from all over the World come to visit the village.
"Any place which has so many visitors is bound to suffer from a certain amount of litter and I would like to do what I can to keep the village as clean as possible.
"During the summer I have cleared several streets of litter and also some of the footpaths on the hills, but I think it is too much for one person to do by themselves in their spare time.
"Litter is not a major problem in Broadway, but I think it would be good to get everybody else involved.
"This has been discussed in the parish plan and when that gets approved by the parish council they may take it on."
Mr Johnson Hilton would like to hear from anyone who is interested in helping, and he can be contacted on 01386 858054.
