WYRE Forest cyclists have been warned by police to ensure their bikes are well lit as the nights draw in.
The warning comes after they received a number of reports that people, especially children, have been riding their bikes in dark or dusky conditions without lights on.
By law, at night all bikes should be fitted with a white front light, red rear light, amber pedal reflectors and red rear reflector.
A police spokesman said: "Fitting proper lights and reflectors is a must and we encourage people to go much further and wear reflective materials at night and fluorescent materials during the day."
