THE new University of Worcester opens it doors on Sunday to show prospective students the opportunities and facilities on offer.
Lecturers and staff will be giving talks and providing exhibitions and information on the hundreds of courses available at the university, including those in sports, computing, teaching, nursing and social welfare.
The institution's £1m Digital Arts Centre, where students can study web design, multi-media, sound and video recording, will be just one of the attractions providing hands-on opportunities.
The award-winning modern classroom technology, first- class sporting facilities and drama studio will also be on show.
University Vice Chancellor Professor David Green said: "Open Day is a great opportunity for prospective students to chat with lecturers and students and discover that the university is a very warm, welcoming and supportive place.
"We've seen an increase of interest from people across the region who want to live at home throughout their full time studies.
"It's a real opportunity for everyone in Herefordshire and Worcestershire to see what we can offer."
The St John's campus, off Henwick Grove, Worcester, will be open to visitors between 10am and 3pm on Sunday, and both new and mature students are welcome.
