FIERCE competition could grow between the sheltered accommodation complexes in Worcester over which has the best garden.
Bill Butler, chairman of the gardening club at Cherwell Court sheltered accommodation, in Cherwell Close, Tolladine, is hoping to extend a gardening programme to other sheltered accommodations in the city.
The 48-year-old said: "A lot of sheltered accommodation residents don't get out much. This can progress and we can get more sheltered housing involved and organise competitions between the schemes"
Mr Butler organised this summer's gardening competition at Cherwell Court.
He said: "This year's was a test run and it took off really well."
Mr Butler has begun discussing the plan with residents of Bilford Court sheltered accommodation in Southdown Road.
