AROUND 50 people, including some in fancy dress, took part in a 10-mile sponsored walk in aid of a charity based in St John's, Worcester.
Pat Emms, secretary of Phoenix House Friends Association, a group formed to raise funds for the charity, said: "We shall not know how much we have made until the monies are collected but we are keeping our fingers crossed for about £1,000."
Phoenix House, in Bromyard Road, is home to 17 residents aged from mid 20s to mid 60s who experience learning difficulties.
Mrs Emms said the money raised could provide the residents with a holiday and extra Christmas presents as well as evenings out during the week and at weekends.
The trek started at Phoenix House and headed towards the Royal Oak pub in Hallow. Walkers then made their way to Lower Broadheath and then along Bell Lane, Crown East Lane before getting back on Bromyard Road and finishing at The Bedwardine Inn.
