THE only certainties about Evesham United's next three games is that Steve Duncan and Neil O'Sullivan won't be playing in them and Kings Lynn will play host to the Robins on Saturday, October 1, writes Mervyn Collins.
The midfielder and defender have both been banned for three matches following FA Cup red cards but there is some doubt over Evesham's next opponents who are both still involved in that prestigious competition.
Halesowen Town visit Glapwell Borough on Saturday and should that tie end all-square then next Tuesday night's scheduled Southern League Premier Division game at Common Road will be called off.
Victory for Banbury United against Brackley in the second qualifying round will also see Eve-sham's visit into Oxfordshire on Saturday, October 8 also postponed.
However, should the Division One West outfit prevail then Dave Busst's men will face a Friday night outing in Banbury to avoid a clash with England's World Cup qualifier.
Manager Dave Busst revealed that Gavin O'Toole, who has been getting match practice at Racing Club Warwick, will replace Duncan, while Stuart Hamilton will revert to left back to fill the spot vacated by O'Sullivan. Adam Cooper will partner Richard Robinson in central defence.
The United chief also revealed that he was in talks with a couple of central defenders - either of whom he felt would help bring on the players currently occupying the back line.
"We've not got a major problem defensively but I feel that we need some experience in there and a player who is a good talker," Busst admitted.
"Individually they are all good defenders but as a unit they aren't quite as solid as I would want them to be."
The Evesham manager acknowledged his side's current problems in front of goal and with set-pieces but is happy to persevere.
"We're feeling a little bit sorry for ourselves. Neat build-up play is being spoiled by final delivery from good situations and poor set-pieces make it easy for the opposition," Busst honestly declared.
"Bally will argue that he did hit the target and beat the keeper but a goal then would have relaxed us and hopefully been the boost we needed to go on and win the game."
The manager also expla-ined his decision to replace Leon Blake at Chippen-ham.
"No one admires Leon more than I do but the final product is not the best part of his game and I felt that Jae (Martin) would give us more attacking options down the left," Busst revealed.
"If we had been winning or drawing then I wouldn't have dreamed of taking Leon off."
Tuesday night's game, should it take place, is being sponsored by Eve-sham Marina and the ball by Eurofresh Marketing, Usk, Gwent.
There's knockout action for the club's youngsters at Common Road next Wednesday night when Worcester City are the visitors for a first round qualifying clash in the FA Youth Cup.
There will be a winner on the night and the prize is a visit to either Radstock Town or Forest Green Rovers early next month.
