Luctonians 28 Bromsgrove 15
Powergen National Trophy round two
OUT of form Bromsgrove RFC crashed out of the Powergen National Trophy as they slipped to defeat to Luctonians on Saturday.
The Boar's plans before the Luctonians clash were disrupted by the loss of two key players.
Bromsgrove lost Ali Hall at fly-hall and Ben Copson before the game to disrupt coach Dean Ball's preparations.
Former Worcester academy rookie Rob Crawford though made a decent debut, converting one try and scoring a penalty.
Richard Arnold bagged both tries for the Boars.
Ball said: "We are only playing at 60 per-cent of what we are capable of.
"We are still a very new team and it takes time for new partnerships to gel.
"But we have to start improving."
Bromsgrove could be up against former fly half Matt Birch when they take on Dudley Kingswinford away on Saturday, September 24 (3pm start).
Hall is set to make his debut as kicker, if he does not have work commitments, while Copson is also set to return.
