BROMSGROVE never recovered from a stunning start by Worcester Wanderers on Saturday.

The young Boars found themselves trailing 19-0 before they launched a fight back.

Bromsgrove went into the game on the back of a fine win over Burton, while their opponents had lost to Moseley a week before.

However, it was Worcester who took the game to Bromsgrove, opening the scoring in the second minute and never looking back.

Thomas made it 19-3 with a penalty, before Upton intercepted a poor pass by Worceter's fly half and touched down.

Thomas converted to make it 19-10, but Worcester once again picked up the pace to take control of the game.

Casamassa was having a fine game as blindside flanker, intercepting several Worcester passes to frustrate the opposition.

Bromsgrove looked dangerous from the scrums, which the referee decided, would be uncontested.

Young came close to releasing Spalding for a try that might have tipped the game in Bromsgrove's balance, but Worcester's defence mobbed him.

Bromsgrove were hit on the break from that move, as Worcester took advantage of the gaps they were leaving at the back in search of points.

Another breakaway touch down ensured Bromsgrove could not bounce back, while a final try handed Worcester a winning margin that did not reflect Bromsgrove's efforts.
