THE organisers of the North Worcestershire Bikeathon (Leukaemia Research
Fund Bromsgrove & District Branch) would like to thank everyone who helped
to make the event on Sunday, September 11, such a great success.
Despite rather murky weather over 400 cyclists turned up to cycle either a 10-mile or a 28-mile route around the Worcestershire countryside.
We would particularly like to thank our sponsors, Regal Garage and Kenneth Morris Chartered Accountants; the owner of Mere Hall for allowing us to use his land; St John Ambulance; West Mercia Police; Centech Audio Visual and all the shops who took entries (Baylis's, Speeds Cycles, Michaels Cycles, Scotts Cycles and Droitwich Sports) and everyone who helped on the day.
Our thanks are also due to the Advertiser/Messenger for helping us to publicise the event so successfully.
The Leukaemia Research Fund appreciates enormously the support it receives
from the people of Bromsgrove, Droitwich Spa, Redditch and beyond.
Our greatest appreciation goes to the 400 cyclists who pledged £23,000 for the Leukaemia Research Fund. Bravo!
