AN art gallery in Rubery is holding a special re-launch event on Saturday, September 24.
Smart Picture Crafts, on Rubery High Street, is celebrating its move into the world of art with a special re-opening between 1pm and 3pm.
Artist Alexander Millar will be the guest of honour at the afternoon.
Millar has become well known in the UK for his caricatures of drunks and working class people.
Prints of Millar's work are sold at Smart Picture Crafts.
The gallery has moved its focus away from being a small DIY and framing business and has moved totally into selling sought after prints and some originals. The gallery also has a bespoke framing service.
Donna Smart, wife of owner Andy, said: "Before we did sell some prints, but we also do-it-yourself goods.
"But we are moving totally into the art world.
"It's an exciting move for everyone here.
"But we have an excellent range of prints here and some interesting originals too."
The family run gallery has been in Rubery for 35-years.
Andy Smart is emigrating to Australia and Phil Harrington has been named as manager after the refit.
