Evesham WMC
THE annual took place on the Kennet and Avon Canal where plenty of small fish were caught.
The winner was Phil Preston (7.0.8) closely followed by Mick Bearcroft (6.14.0) and Ian Jennings (6.13.0).
Nets of small carp dominated the match at Stubbs Pool and Nat Prothorough had more than 80 fish for a brilliant weight of 11.4.0.
Not far behind were Stuart Robinson (10.6.0) and Jennings (6.13.0).
The EDAA knockout match against Evesham Disabled Club proved to be a hard match due to the first frost of the season at Forest Farm, Pinvin.
The Workies won 24 points to 64 points.

CLUB members travelled to Oakham Farm Pools at Loxley for last Sunday's second round match in the Fiesta Cakes Winter League.
Conditions were overcast but Ron Williams shone brightly at the finish after weighing in 53.3.0 to claim top spot.
Jerry Akerman (44.5.0) was second ahead of Richard Hall (29.4.0) and Antony Icke (20.3.0).
There's two matches this wee-kend on Saturday at Workman Gardens and the next day on the Middle Pool at Manor Farm.
Evesham Jubilee Society
SIMON Milner, fishing a golden peg, was a comfortable winner at The Fishery last wee- kend.
He cinched top spot courtesy of a winning weight of 29lbs and 8ozs that left him well ahead of Steve Rogers (17.10.0) and Barry Stayte (14.12.0).
Section prizes went to Duncan Edgeley 913.8.0) and Alan Griffin (14.0.0).
There's an Avon Shield match at Bidford on Sunday, gather at 7am for the draw at 7.15 at the bridge car park.

THE annual championships will take place on the Town stretch of the River Avon on Sunday, October 2.
The draw will take place at 7.30am at the New Bridge with fishing for five hours from 8.30am.
Cost of entry is £10 all-in, call in at local tackle shops to book your place.
