THERE are always giant-killings in the FA Cup. We must make sure that there is no shock at St George's Lane on Saturday.

We host Bemerton Heath Harlequins and we will treat them with the same respect we give everybody else, regardless of their position in non-league.

It would be a major shock if they did win, but we cannot possibly think like that. We are the favourites and are at home.

It could to be a tough game, depending on which players I can put out. If everybody in the squad is fit and available, then really it's a game we should get through.

But we have several players injured and the same players that missed out at Moor Green could miss out again.

That game should have been over by half-time because of the chances we created. Adam Webster gave us the lead from a great move and we deserved to go into half-time two or three goals up.

Graham Hyde's volley struck the inside of the post, then my low shot was turned away by James Coates when it headed for the bottom corner.

I think the turning point for us was the injury to Shabir Khan. He played well in partnership with Liam McDonald on the left-hand side.

Shabir came off towards the end of the first-half, although I'm not sure whether the injury was too bad.

Maybe he could have carried on until half-time when we would have assessed the problem. Perhaps he is not so sure when an injury is really bad. Then again, it is difficult to say how bad an injury is unless you are in somebody else's body.

I'm not criticising Shabir in any way. Obviously, he's had injuries before and when he feels something, he does not want to make it worse. He's just probably a bit more cautious than other players. It is a learning curve for him.

On a positive side, his and Liam's performances proved that they have what it takes to play at this level. They are both young lads desperate to do well.

Chances are coming their way and they will probably be involved for the next few games. It is an ideal opportunity for them to cement their place in the side.

Liam looked confident and the role suited him. He had a lot of freedom to get forward and express himself and that really pleased me. That performance will give Liam a lot of confidence. I'll be looking for more of the same from him.

We had three of the club's youth-team players on the bench against Moor Green. But when things needed changing, I did not think the situation was ideal to involve them.

When Shabir came off, I did not feel it was right to put Dale Watkins on. It was asking a lot from a young lad.

It's a decision I had to make and I thought Leon Kelly, with his pace and strength, would cause more problems. However, the younger players are going to get an opportunity at some stage.

We were not the same side in the second-half and, in the end, we were probably hanging on for a point after Moors equalised. Our defence became a bit jittery, but I think it was the pressure of trying to hold on for a clean sheet.
