IT was with great sadness that I learnt of the proposal to close one of the last significant links between Worcester and the Kays Catalogue.
Until fairly recently, the Kays Catalogue always proudly featured Worcester Cathedral on its cover which signified the strong links with the city.
Although not a Worcester man, I worked for the company and with the good people of Worcester for almost 30 years and it is sad indeed to see one of the final links with the city being severed. Unfortunately, there is no sentiment in business these days and it is all about the 'bottom line'. People, traditions and loyalty count for very little.
