AS ASHES fever sweeps the town, hundreds of Evesham youngsters are looking for the opportunity to improve their cricket and match the performances of their England heroes.
Evesham Cricket Club has teamed up with the Worcestershire Cricket Centre, the County Indoor School at Prince Henry's High School, to organise a winter programme so that aspiring "Freddy" Flintoffs can be at their best for the 2006 season.
It is expected the programme will have something to offer youngsters of all ages and all levels of ability.
The Worcestershire Cricket Centre, meanwhile, is staging a Long Term Athletic Development Work-shop with ECB performance manager Keith Tomlins on Monday, between 7 and 9 pm.
It's open to all cricket coaches and promises to be very informative. The cost is £2.50. More information can be obtained from Simon Price on 01386 45074 or 07779 590040.
