A Woman was threatened with a 12-inch knife during a terrifying robbery at a Redditch supermarket cashpoint machine.
The incident happened shortly before 9.30pm last Tuesday, September 13, when the woman went to withdraw cash at Tesco's car park in Coldfield Drive.
She was approached by a man weilding a knife who forced her to withdraw £200 from the cashpoint machine before grabbing the cash and running off towards the wooded area off the car park.
DC Amjad Iqbal of Redditch CID said: "This was a very distressing experience for the victim and although we want people to be aware that it has happened and to to be vigilant themselves, we also want to stress that these types of incident are rare.
"Our enquiries are continuing and as part of this, we are studying CCTV footage around the time of the robbery.
"We do have an image of a male who we would like to talk to in connection with the incident and would appeal to him or anyone recognising him to give us a call.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone who was at Tescos at around 9.30pm on Tuesday evening and witnessed the incident or the male running off across the car park."
The man is described as a black male, 6ft tall with a light to medium build.
He was clean-shaven and was wearing a bright red T-shirt, a navy blue sports jacket with a collar and red markings on the jacket and light-coloured jogging bottoms.
He was holidng a 12-inch silver-coloured blade.
