Next summer will mark the last time a well-known Malvern gardens will open to the public.
The privately-owned three acre gardens at Barnards Green House has attracted hundreds of visitors per year in the last three decades in which the public have been invited in.
However, owners Sue and Philip Nicholls are hoping to get planning permission to build four houses in one acre of the garden and will not then open the rest of the garden anymore.
Mrs Nichols said: "It will be sad to see it go."
