AN abandoned duckling which was taken in by Worcester Mayor Aubrey Tarbuck caused a bit of a flap when she was attacked in his back garden.
Henrietta, who is now three months old, waddled over to some undergrowth when what Coun Tarbuck believes was a weasel jumped out at her.
The attack left Henrietta - who sleeps in Coun Tarbuck's kitchen at night - with a badly lacerated right eye which had to be removed.
"She was a bit down in the dumps for a while after it happened," he said. "But she seems to have picked up a bit now and is coping very well."
Coun Tarbuck took Henrietta in after her mother and siblings waddled off before she hatched.
