AFTER a disappointing start to the Worcester Sunday premier season, losing 4-1 away to Exel Metro, this week Colwall St James entertained Nunnery Wood Sports, who won their first fixture 10-2.
COLWALL ST JAMES 5, NUNNERY WOOD SPORTS 1
With a couple of important players not available, Colwall knew they were in for a game but within five minutes of kick-off, it was Nunnery Wood who felt the need to rise to the challenge as Luke Badham latched onto a through- ball to score past the visiting keeper.
With Nunnery now pushing forward looking for an equaliser, they left gaps at the back, which again Luke Badham took full advantage of to make it 2-0. Just before the break, he completed a first-half hat-trick to make it 3-0.
The second-half followed a similar pattern with Colwall absorbing the pressure and hitting on the break. Fifteen minutes into the half, Colwall found themselves 4-0 up through Nigel Watson after good work from James Badham.
Nunnery Wood kept pushing forward and from a corner they clawed one back. Colwall got their fifth 15 minutes from time when man-of-the-match Luke Badham managed his fourth of the game with a neat finish.
