WEST Malvern travelled to Pershore on Saturday and included five new players in their squad.
PERSHORE MANOR RES 2, WEST MALVERN 4
They opened brightly and after 15 minutes were in front after the Pershore keeper had partially saved a shot from Anthony Holder, Phil Jenkins hammered home.
After 35 minutes, Pershore equalised, scoring direct from a corner, completely deceiving the goalkeeper Andy Pugh.
After 50 minutes, the West were back in front after good build-up work between Anthony Holder and Phil Jenkins resulted in new boy Gareth Newton driving the ball home from the edge of the box.
In the 65th minute, they were 3-1 up when once again Phil Jenkins scored from close range. They introduced Matt Jacklin to replace the injured Gareth Newtown, who scored with his first touch after 75 minutes.
With five minutes to go Pershore reduced the arrears when keeper Pugh failed to gather an awkward shot.
Tomorrow (Saturday), West Malvern, sponsored by the Cross Keys and Amey, are at home to the Plumbers Arms, players meet 2.15pm at the dressing rooms.
