BUS organisers have reiterated that the Worcester Express routes are free to everyone under 19 and over 60 years old after some confusion from drivers and customers.
The Worcester News had received reports that some bus drivers had told teenagers they could not travel free if they were students.
However, project manager Lorna Phillips moved quickly to confirm that schoolchildren and college students all travel free on the new 'W' buses, as long as they are under 19.
"We've had a few queries like that, and there seems to be a confusion about schoolchildren, especially the age bracket between school and college," she said.
"However, it's straightforward - anyone up to and including 18 travels for free on Worcester Express."
If the service is a success future improvements could include a new bendy bus which can transport nearly twice as many passengers.
