ENERGETIC ladies stretched their legs in celebration the 90th birthday of the Women's Institute.
The Worcestershire Federation Executive Committee, which oversees the county's WI groups, took part in a promotional walk of the city streets to raise awareness and celebrate the anniversary.
Chairman Chris Marriott said: "To mark this momentous achievement, WI's all over the country have been holding celebratory events.
"We have also been asked to walk 90 miles during the year to celebrate 90 years."
In one of a number of anniversary events throughout the week, walkers met at Pierpoint Street, near Worcester city centre, on Wednesday.
WI groups across the county have also put on their boots to celebrate the occasion.
Since the first WI started in Anglesey, North Wales, in 1915, the group now has 215,000 members in England and Wales and is a force to be reckoned with.
