HEART of England fine foods, the regional food group, is inviting local food and drink producers, retail outlets and hospitality businesses from across Worcestershire to a networking trade event next Thursday, September 22.
HEFF's Meet the Buyer day will offer opportunities to discuss food matters and demonstrate and sample products first hand.
Companies attending include the prestigious Lygon Arms of Broadway - sister hotel to The Savoy - Wayside Farm Shop, Broomfields, Jenades' Deli and Dumbleton Fine Foods.
Organisers Alix Hay and Jon May of HEFF would like to hear from more Worcestershire food and drink producers in order to showcase the widest variety of products possible and take full advantage of having such reputable buyers in one place at one time.
Mr May said: "Previous county events have been extremely successful in cultivating new supply relationships while increasing awareness of the availability of traceable and affordable fresh and frozen produce in the area.
The event takes place at Worcester Rugby Club and starts at 10am. It will focus on farm shops and delicatessens in the morning, with the afternoon session beginning at 2pm for hotels, restaurants and pubs.
To reserve a place at the event contact the HEFF office on 01746 785185.
"We offer the new self-audit HEFF Hygiene & Food Safety Standard to help keep businesses compliant and all HEFF members benefit from free PR and marketing, which has attracted regional and national publicity for numerous small businesses."
