STOURPORT Swifts boss Dave Titterton has appointed Bryan Small as his new player coach.
Titterton turned to the former Aston Villa full back after Kevin Sweeney left to take up a position at Rushall Olympic for personal reasons.
Sweeney is based in the Black Country and the Rushall job was more convenient than travelling to and from Wyre Forest for training at matches.
Titterton did not want his right hand man to leave, but insisted Sweeney remains a close friend and goes with his best wishes.
Meanwhile, the Walshes Meadow gaffer has set his sights on bringing in a host of new faces following Stourport's disappointing start to the Southern Football League Western Division season.
Titterton has made seven-day approaches for three forwards as he strives to bolster his strikeforce.
Among Stourport's targets are Studley's former Redditch frontman Lee Ross, Romulus striker Tyrone Fagan and experienced Tipton forward Adrian Baddams.
Also on Titterton's radar, following Neil Manton's departure top Sutton Coldfield Town, is a central defender and the boss believes former Evesham man Lee Knight fits the bill.
Swifts, who had last weekend off because of their early exit from the FA Cup, will be hoping to kickstart their season when they take on basement club Thame United at 3pm on Saturday.
