I WAS not surprised when I read the letter entitled "Lord and Lady Muck" (Shuttle/Times & News, August 25) - obviously town people who cannot cope with the countryside.
As a Rock parish councillor, I had a similar complaint, so I invented "The Great Muck Bucket" and when going in that direction gathered the harvest of horse manure off the road and into my bucket with tight-fitting lid, with my coal shovel.
My compost heaps are wonderful, we have never had such roses, the blackbirds enjoy going through it on the borders, and everyone is happy.
So, my advice to "Name and address supplied" is, get yourself a muck bucket and enjoy the results of this free garden gold.
