FOLLOWING this year's VE Day 60th anniversary celebrations, Evesham Operatic and Dramatic Society is recreating the atmosphere of the wartime spirit in its latest production.
Called We'll Meet Again, the show is described as 'a 1940s wartime extravaganza of music, monologue and drama'.
It runs from Tuesday, September 20 to 24. "Bring your voices and your hankies with you," said arts centre spokesman Don Cook.
Visitors to the arts centre will also notice it has a new look ready for its programme of events this autumn.
The Victoria Avenue centre is now boasting a newly refurbished foyer and a state-of-the-art sound system ready to be used by various groups and visiting professionals as well as by its own theatre companies.
The popular Jazz in the Foyer series has been revived this season, which kicked off earlier this week with a performance by the Denny Illot Senior Quartet.
There will be regular displays and exhibitions at the centre too, and performances of all kinds, including a special 'audience with' type of evening with top TV impressionist and Evesham's most famous star Alistair McGowan on Friday, September 30, which is already a sell-out.
