AS ASHES fever sweeps the town, hundreds of Evesham youngsters are looking for the opportunity to improve their cricket and match the performances of their England heroes.
Evesham Cricket Club has teamed up with the Worcestershire Cricket Centre, the County Indoor School at Prince Henry's High School, to organise a winter programme so that aspiring "Freddy" Flintoffs can be at their best for the 2006 season.
It is expected the programme will have something to offer youngsters of all ages and all levels of ability.

The latter is head coach at Evesham Cricket Club and has played a huge part in helping the club win the third division title in the Birmingham Premier League.
A rain-affected draw with Whitchurch last weekend was enough to secure the championship and Evesham visit Wor-cester tomorrow for their final league game when they will be presented with the championship trophy.
There will be more celebration in the Sports Club clubhouse next Friday when the cricket section stages its presentation night.
Pershore's cricketers, meanwhile, are facing the prospect of an early return to the Worcestershire County League.
Stephen Cooper's side face promotion chasing Aston Manor tomorrow when a win for the home side will preserve their status although they could lose and stay up depending on results elsewhere.
