AN exhibition in Stratford-upon-Avon is gathering together local and national artists reflecting the beauty of our English gardens on a large scale.
The exhibition at Retros-pectives Gallery called the Giants of Flora runs until Sunday, September 18.
Evesham artist Ellen Bailey is exhibiting her large original flower studies in acrylics. Her paintings are full of rich colour and bold designs but always reflecting nature around her.
Ellen is originally from Australia and her art has a boldness and purity of colour.
She Said: "My art captures the pure intensity of colours seen in a strong pure light."
Ellen attended Sydney art school Ffocus Arts, refining her drawing skills and learning to work in many mediums of which acrylic remains her favourite. She has had solo and joint exhibitions in Sydney (1997 - 2002) and has sold work through galleries and commissions in Sydney, Auckland, Washington DC and the UK.
The Gallery is at The Minories, off Henley Street.
